Too Complicated
Why do you have to go and make things so complicated? Says Avril Lavigne.
Yeah she's right, we make so many things too complicated. From note taking to file organization, books reading to movies collecting. Even using Notion tends to make everything look good.
I fell into that blackhole a few years ago. Now I am still in that hole, but trying hard to make it less complicated. Take note taking for example, I try to take notes only in Obsidian. Storing files only in OneDrive. Downloading media only using one tool.
But there are many other tools I'm actively using. I also use Google Drive. Notion and TiddlyWiki. I have three computers I use daily. A few reading apps storing the same or different books. Two music streaming apps. Even four websites and a bunch of domains and VPSes.
I tend to keep things organized. But it is still a goal I'm looking forward to accomplishing. I sometimes feel bad looking at the mess I created since day 1. It is really hard to make things and workplace tidy. It fills my mind with chaos and nonsense.
But the good thing is, I never stop making things feel and look better. I believe I will be satisfied someday.
