Stop Starting A Paragraph With An I
No one likes reading an essay that has a lot of "I"s in it. If an essay is to be valuable to people, it should be less subjective. For example, almost every great essay resonates with me when there are't a lot of "I"s.
I almost start every post with an "I"(even this one). That doesn't seem like a good habbit. Written in English is much different from in Chinese. There must be a better starter. I guess reading more Derek Sivers would help. Besides, great arthors modifies there articles several times before they were published. I didn't do that much. I noticed this bad habbit a few months ago.
But in fact, an article is definately one's subjective perpective. There is no article that all people would agree on. Therefore, It doesn't matter that much whether the number of "I"s is high or low. It only matters if it is valuable to a certain number of readers. The number could be only one. Through this idea, I only have to make sure that any article I write is valuable to me, and hope it is valuable for more people.
What defines a good article is if it shows one's idea clearly. This is something I can make sure of. Everytime I have an idea, I write a draft, then expand that idea if any possble, publish it after moidifying it. Get feedbacks. Keep going and I believe I will get better at writing, regardless of in any language.
