I Bought a 2 Dollar Pair of Wired Headphones
Yes it costs 2 dollars, 16.6 Yuan.
It's Moondrop Nice Buds. I have been using it for 2 days and it's surprisingly nice, considering its price tag. I didn't expect it to be half the performance of AirPods or Bose QC35, but its performance far exceeds what you'd expect from a $2 pair of headphones. Its low frequencies are ample, and the mid-range is stable. Perfectly fits Pop music (like Taylor Swift).
It apparently doesn't beat AirPods. But I don't use iPhones or Macs so AirPods won't do any good to me. I own a OnePlus Buds Pro 2 for 2 years and it works just fine. I use it to listen to music, watch a video or movie. I also have some other wired or wireless headphones too.
I may not need the latest, expensive digital products. The laptop in my office is from almost 5 years ago (Jan 2021) but it does its job, although it's not as good as my latest "gaming laptop" in my home. The same applies to smartphones, headphones or anything else. I bet my old QC25, iPod Classic 3 or Sony WI-1000XM3 still work great today.
I am grateful for those things I have. I will live well with or without them. I was stuck in the consumerism trap, but it beats itself when I see it clearly.
Day 39.
