Hello Darkness My Old Friend
Some say my writing reflects loneliness, and I have used the phrase "loneliness" often. They think I am lonely.
The answer is yes and it is not a bad thing. I believe all of us need time to be alone. Only when we are alone can we have enough time to think clearly. No distractions, no stress.
I enjoy solitude. That is when I can finish an article or a movie from beginning to end uninterrupted. If I am doing some deep thinking, something or someone interrupts me, I can never catch up later.
Also, being alone is the only moment I feel myself connected to the universe. I shift from materialism to idealism. I would imagine the universe as an object that has a soul, leads me to travel through time and space. I will wake up afterwards, of course, but it sparks ideas.
This is a form of meditation too. It is like recharging the battery in me after a long day of socializing and working.
