Facts Or Opinions
Apple is fruit, that is a fact. Apple tastes good, that is an opinion. Not everyone divides them well, I didn't when I was young, even now. Communication online turns into arguments all the time. Human nature decides.
I fall into different topics of arguments from time to time. Politics, history, music, games, movies, mostly politics related. There are no certain answers when it comes to politics. And there are millions of people talking about politics all the damn time. So did I.
But day by day, I found these discussions/arguments never end well. It led to personal attacks and does nothing except try to persuade others. There was no constructive discussion at all. Someone may be brilliant or intelligent, but if they indulge in nonsense, they will turn irrational eventually. I believe Socrates(edited on 20th Nov. I thought it was Plato before) did this often because his goal was to provoke people.
I will still participate in discussions. But I often remind myself to focus on the "facts", not the opinions. Opinions reflect facts occasionally.
